Zemer Chai, "living song," is a choir of 30 singers dedicated to sharing the rich and diverse musical heritage of the Jewish people. Founded in 1976 by conductor and artistic director Eleanor Epstein, the choir sings the full range of the Jewish repertoire.

In Every Age!
Ancient words come alive with soaring new melodies in "In Every Age!", a choral concert presented by Zemer Chai, DC's Premier Jewish Choir. The concert takes place on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at 8 p.m., at Ohr Kodesh Congregation in Chevy Chase.
Zemer Chai welcomes special guests HaZamir of Baltimore. This group of 30 singers from the Baltimore and Washington region is one of 24 chapters of HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir. "We are thrilled to be collaborating with these talented teens," says Zemer Chai Artistic Director Eleanor Epstein. "Like us, they are from all walks of Jewish life; and like us, they are connecting to their people, their heritage, by singing the music of the Jewish people at a high level of excellence."
